Maddy was the soccer teammate of one or our board members daughters.   We were shocked to hear of her stage three lymphoma diagnosis at the age of 18.   She was a freshman in her first semester of college and facing a tremendous challenge.   After surgery and three rounds of Chemo she was declared cancer-free. We provided financial support for Maddy through her treatment period and continued to follow her on her journey.  

 

Maddy and her Aunt organized a 2 day Glamour Photo Shoot for other kids that had been diagnosed with cancer and other serious illnesses.

We showed up on the day of the glamour shoot and matched the Grant that had been awarded to her by the Disney Channel to fund the photo shoot.  

 

Over the two day photo shoot, 20 young cancer patients ages 4 – 19 participated in the photo sessions and were rewarded with the feeling of being “normal” and “beautiful” again.
